The following fish can live with killifish:
- Smaller catfish
- Small barbs
- Neon tetras
- Dwarf cichlids
- Danios
- Livebearers
- Gourami
- Rasboras
- Rummy nose tetras
Killifish are usually peaceful pets but can become territorial and aggressive if they are not properly looked after.
In addition, male killifish are usually more aggressive with each other when kept together. Female killifish can live well together if they have plenty of swimming space. One pair of killifish requires a 20+ gallon tank.
