How big do Siamese algae eaters get?

Siamese algae eaters can get as big as six inches (16 cm) long. These bottom-dwellers grow larger than most freshwater fish.

When they are kept in the right environment, they can get up to six inches long and sometimes even longer!

For that reason, Siamese algae eaters need plenty of space to swim and explore. A single Siamese algae eater needs a 25-gallon tank to live happily. If you’re going to keep more than one Siamese algae eater, be sure to provide at least 10 more gallons of water for each additional fish.
